Please be aware that the church is approximately 30 miles from Peckforton Castle, which is a 45 minute to 1 hour drive, depending on the traffic.
The roads around the castle are rural lanes, so please be careful especially when driving at night time.
If you would like a discount code to stay at the castle on Friday or Saturday night please let Duncan or Rachel know.
Hotel check-in isn’t available until 3pm for those staying at the castle on Saturday night, March 1st, 2025, however you can leave luggage safely with reception if you wish.
The villages of Tarporley and Calveley are 3-4 miles from the castle, and have accommodation available, as do the larger towns of Chester and Nantwich.
The Next Day, 2nd of March: We would really like it if those who are staying at the castle and those who are not can join us for breakfast between 09:00-10:00 at the castle if your heads are not too sore.
Travel from London: There are direct trains from Euston to Chester which take approximately 2 hours.
Travel from Brighton: It is approximately 7 hours drive from Brighton to Peckforton.
Travel from Cambs: It’s approximately 3. 5 hrs drive from the Huntingdon / Cambridge area to Peckforton.
Other approximate travel times to Peckforton:
Manchester: 1 hour
Warrington: 45 mins
Rochester: 4.5 hours
Those of you who don’t drive and need assistance from the train stations to your accommodation let us know on when you reply to the invite.
Similarly, those who need to transport between the church and the castle, please let us know.
